Claire Murphy

School Psychology eds Student, 
graduate assistant

Claire E. Murphy, M.S.Ed., is a second-year student in the School Psychology program at Indiana University Bloomington. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and received her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University in 2018. After graduating, Claire went on to get her Special Education teaching license at Marian University, and was employed as a special education teacher for 7th and 8th grade students in Southern Hancock Community School Corporation. This is Claire’s first year as a graduate assistant working on Dr. Ormiston’s research team, and as an interventionist on the TIMS Grant project. Claire’s research interests include universal mental health screening practices in schools, efficiency of tiered academic and mental health support, and the impact of tiered support on the percentage of students enrolled in special education.
