Elizabeth mcpherson

School Psychology phd Student,

Elizabeth C. McPherson, SSP, is a third-year Ph.D. student in the school psychology program at Indiana University. Originally from Edwardsville, Illinois, she received her B.S. at Illinois State University in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies in 2020. Prior to coming to IU, she obtained her Specialist degree in School Psychology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, completed her internship working primarily with students from kindergarten to 5th grade, and acquired school psychology licensure in the state of Illinois.

 

Elizabeth joined Dr. Ormiston’s lab in 2023 where she is a graduate assistant for a U.S. Department of Education grant examining the impact of trauma-informed multi-tiered systems of supports on student academic, behavioral, and socioemotional outcomes. She has research interests in school-based mental health supports and their benefits to student functioning, accessible services, social justice in school psychology, and systems-level consultation.
