Rabbiya Shahid
School Psychology PhD Student, Research Lead
Rabbiya Shahid is a second-year Ph.D. student in the School Psychology program at Indiana University Bloomington. She has a background in Educational Psychology, having previously completed her master's degree at the same institution. Currently, Rabbiya serves as a graduate assistant for a research project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, which is led by Dr. Ormiston. The research project focuses on investigating the impact of trauma-informed multi-tiered systems of supports on various student outcomes, including academic performance, behavior, and socioemotional well-being.
Rabbiya's research interests are centered around delivering equity-focused mental health services within school settings. She is passionate about exploring and improving educational and mental health outcomes for children who come from minoritized backgrounds.
